Just a bad day.
Not a bad life.
Why do people expect so much.
Why is it that expectations come along with love and affection?
Why is it that people whom we respect expect something from us?
Why is it that once you do something good,it is implied that you will maintain your performance the next time, perhaps perform better?
Why is it that these come so naturally?
Again, our reaction to expectations is two faced.
You feel good when people expect from you.
You feel good when people trust you enough to expect something in return, a birthday card, a surprise hug or maybe good marks.
You feel good when it’s a good day and people praise you for your work.
You come back home smiling and keep blabbering about it the entire day.
Well. The darker and the graver side.
You feel good-for-nothing when you are unable to stand up to expectations.
You feel miserable when people taunt you about why you couldn’t do it.
You try to avoid all such topics that make you feel sick.
Why. Why do expectations even exist.
You’ve got to manage everything in life.
Spending weeks after weeks with friends isn’t what you call living life.
Studying, eating and sleeping all day isn’t what you call life.
Attending parties all the while isn’t what you call life.
Talking to you mother all day isn’t what you call life.
Talking to a friend over phone all night isnt what you call life.
Life is a mixture of all.
Managing everything in such a mess is where all of us fumble.
The trick is to manage all.
The trick is to be happy and make others happy.
The trick is to be happy and satisfied even after a bad day.
After all, you dont own all the problems in the world. Do you? Dont you have a reason to smile? Hold on to that when you find none appealing.
It’s okay to not be able to stand upto people’s expectations.
Our job is to work hard.
Rest is on fate.
It’s okay to have a bad week, a bad month , a bad year.
It’s okay to not be able to manage life once in a while.
It’s okay to cry for messing things up.
It’s okay to not be able to make everyone happy.
It’s okay to not be happy at times.
This is life. Isn’t it?
After all. Everything is not as simple as E=mc^2.
Life is much more than such complex equations.
It’s okay to expect and to be expected from.
Just that. Don’t spoil the rest of it.
Life is after all Beautiful.
