You ought to have priorities in life.
You ought to know how to choose between two friends, a relative and your mother, a friend and a bestfriend and yes, two bestfriends too.
You say you can’t choose? Is it?
Or you fear the world?
Even the animals are better decision makers than us, if i call prioritising a decision.
Even the skies, the birds, the flowers are better acquainted with this art.
And you human. You can’t choose, eh?
You can never love two people the same. Can you?
You always do have a priority.
This world we live in. No one cares.
It’s all when they need you.
And then, when it’s over, “Thank you Shreya, You’re really sweet.” And done.
You never see them again.
Well, you never have them again. Unless ofcourse, you pester, you please.
And. I say never do that. Not to such people atleast.
People are there, not to get you obssessed with them, but to change you in a way, that changes you forever.
We meet people, start liking people, change priorities, spend days, months, years with them.
And. We forget the ones who were always there for us. We forget to prioritize.
Well, ofcourse we do need to change priorities at times to survive what we are going through.
But when the time comes, go back to people who are yours.
To where you belong.
How can you call two people your bestfriends?
How can you not choose between your mother and father?
How can you love two people the same and not love one more? Or maybe the most?
You’re given a glass of steel full of water and a glass of brass full of water. Which one will you choose?
You’re asked to go out in the rain and to go out in the blowing winds. Which one will you choose?
You’re asked to choose between your mother and your friend. Whom will you choose?
You’re asked to choose between your brother and your sister. Whom will you choose?
It’s not about who is there with you, it’s about who is there for you.
Learn to set your goals and directions, your people, your life.
